The Role
We are seeking a Technical Governance Coordination Lead to support a high-profile project in Bristol. This individual will play a pivotal role in managing the technical decision-making process, ensuring coordination across stakeholders, and contributing to the resolution of complex design issues.
This position sits within the Design Coordination Team and works closely with the Technical Director and Deputy to enhance project engineering performance.
Key Responsibilities
Own and pilot the technical decision-making process in line with project governance.
Participate in the arbitration and prioritisation of technical issues.
Coordinate stakeholders to secure alignment and agreement across all disciplines.
Support teams in preparing materials for technical committees by organising content, collecting input, and ensuring appropriate structure.
Organise and facilitate weekly technical forums for multidisciplinary discussions and resolution of complex issues.
Ensure decisions are formalised, documented, and communicated effectively.
Propose and implement improvements to technical governance processes.
Lead or coordinate technical topics as required by project needs.
Key Requirements
Degree-level qualification in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
Experience in engineering, leadership, or project management.
Robust understanding of nuclear design and engineering processes.
Good knowledge of UK regulations and best practices in the nuclear industry.
Proven ability to grasp complex technical matters and provide accurate summaries.
Strong organisational and time management capabilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience in coordinating cross-disciplinary technical work.
Ability to foster collaborative relationships across internal and external teams.
High standards in safety, quality, and team management.
Fluent in English.
