Description

Our client is a key player in the energy industry, providing high-performance tubular solutions worldwide. They are currently seeking an experienced Senior HSEQ Advisor to support their operations in Norway and the UK.


The Role

This is a senior advisory role responsible for maintaining high standards in health, safety, environmental, and quality (HSEQ) performance in line with UK and Norwegian regulations. Reporting to the Managing Director, the Senior HSEQ Advisor will lead the implementation of HSEQ systems, conduct audits and risk assessments, deliver training, and manage incident investigations. The role involves close collaboration with operations, contractors, and corporate teams to ensure compliance, drive continuous improvement, and support a strong safety and sustainability culture.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain HSEQ management systems aligned with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards

  • Conduct risk assessments, site inspections, and internal audits to identify hazards and ensure regulatory compliance

  • Lead investigations into incidents, near misses, and quality issues, applying root cause analysis and ensuring corrective actions

  • Provide training, toolbox talks, and inductions to staff and contractors; promote continuous improvement in HSEQ culture

  • Monitor contractor performance against HSEQ standards and drive enhancements through data and insights

  • Liaise with external auditors, regulatory agencies, and corporate departments on audits and improvement plans

  • Oversee waste management, emissions control, and sustainability reporting, in compliance with environmental legislation

  • Support manufacturing and operations with quality assurance plans, customer specifications, and non-conformance resolution

  • Contribute to internal training, skills development, and competence frameworks within the quality team


Key Requirements

  • Degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience

  • In-depth knowledge of HSEQ regulations and standards, particularly UK and Norwegian legislation

  • Strong experience in developing and implementing HSEQ management systems within industrial or energy environments

  • Familiarity with OCTG products and associated manufacturing/inspection processes is an advantage

  • Proven leadership, coaching, and stakeholder engagement skills

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and influence a wide range of internal and external partners

  • Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
