The Role & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Planner for a high-profile project, you will:

  • Create, monitor, and analyse the Level 2 (Full project duration)/Level 3 schedule (12-18 months term) on the allocated engineering scope in accordance with standard of best project practice.

  • Monitor project progress, including identifying critical activities and reviewing forecasts and progress achieved to date.

  • Provide permanent support to project and technical teams in the optimisation of their schedules integrating also the constraints of the customer / suppliers.

  • Identify interfaces at the assigned perimeter, and ensure that they are properly connected to other perimeters.

  • Analyse activities on the critical path to identify the possible impact of delays, analyse deviations and propose appropriate actions to project managers.

  • Follow up on project milestones, alert in case of delays and participate in the definition of the recovery plan.

  • Participate in the calculation of physical progress and Earned Value Management and analyse the results.

  • Take part in the quantification of planning impacts in the event of changes in the scope of the contract.

  • Contribute to periodic planning reports and KPI’s analysis.

  • Work closely with the L4 schedulers to link these levels that are in different tools.

  • Actively participates in the planning community.

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of methods & tools.


Key Requirements

Skills & Experience 

  • Bachelor’s degree is mandatory, Master’s degree is desirable

  • Engineering or technical background

  • Experience in project management field including experience in scheduling

  • Experience of Primavera P6 or at least another scheduling tool (MS project/Planisware)

  • Experience on a major industrial project, if possible nuclear industry.

  • Understanding of Civil Work, Layout and Electro-mechanical engineering sequence of activities

  • Good analytical skills and attention to detail

  • Excellent communication (written and spoken) and presentation skills

  • Self-motivated, initiative and ability to work as part of a team

  • Customer oriented and ability to interact with various levels of stakeholders

  • English fluent (required)

  • French – bonus
