The Role & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Planner for a high-profile project, you will:
Create, monitor, and analyse the Level 2 (Full project duration)/Level 3 schedule (12-18 months term) on the allocated engineering scope in accordance with standard of best project practice.
Monitor project progress, including identifying critical activities and reviewing forecasts and progress achieved to date.
Provide permanent support to project and technical teams in the optimisation of their schedules integrating also the constraints of the customer / suppliers.
Identify interfaces at the assigned perimeter, and ensure that they are properly connected to other perimeters.
Analyse activities on the critical path to identify the possible impact of delays, analyse deviations and propose appropriate actions to project managers.
Follow up on project milestones, alert in case of delays and participate in the definition of the recovery plan.
Participate in the calculation of physical progress and Earned Value Management and analyse the results.
Take part in the quantification of planning impacts in the event of changes in the scope of the contract.
Contribute to periodic planning reports and KPI’s analysis.
Work closely with the L4 schedulers to link these levels that are in different tools.
Actively participates in the planning community.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of methods & tools.
Key Requirements
Skills & Experience
Bachelor’s degree is mandatory, Master’s degree is desirable
Engineering or technical background
Experience in project management field including experience in scheduling
Experience of Primavera P6 or at least another scheduling tool (MS project/Planisware)
Experience on a major industrial project, if possible nuclear industry.
Understanding of Civil Work, Layout and Electro-mechanical engineering sequence of activities
Good analytical skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication (written and spoken) and presentation skills
Self-motivated, initiative and ability to work as part of a team
Customer oriented and ability to interact with various levels of stakeholders
English fluent (required)
