Our Client is a leading global expert in the provision of welding and coating services and operates in several jurisdictions around the world.


The Role

The Master Data Controller plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of master data across all Client Entities. This position is vital for maintaining efficient master data, therefore supporting data driven decision-making and contributing to the smooth flow of information as we transition from SAP to a newly installed ERP System. This role reports into the Lead Manufacturing & Production Engineer.


Key Responsibilities

Remit and Responsibilities:

  • Data Governance & Integrity: Own the creation, maintenance, and accuracy of master data (e.g., customer, vendor, material, pricing, hierarchy data) within the business across various systems (e.g., ERP - SAP).
    Support the implementation of inventory into new entities, including USA, Brazil & the Middle East.

  • Data Standardisation: Implement and enforce master data standards, policies, and procedures to ensure 
    consistency and quality including USA, Brazil & the Middle East entities.

  • New Product Introduction (NPI): Process requests for new master data creation and changes, ensuring all required fields are accurately populated and approved according to established workflows.

  • Data Governance & Standards: Define and enforce data standards, naming conventions, and classification rules. Ensure compliance with internal and external data policies.

  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline data processes, perform regular audits and validations to ensure data integrity. Collaborate with departments to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.

Key Requirements

Skills & Experience 

Work Experience Required: 

  • Proven experience in master data management, or a highly administrative role with a strong data focus.

Skills & Knowledge Required:

  • ERP (SAP, etc) Essential, Excel M365 desirable.

  • Organisational Skills: Exceptional organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks effectively.

  • Proactive & Self-Motivated: Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
