Description
Our client is a leading global expert in the provision of welding and coating services. They are recruiting an HSE Advisor for their Burnley location on a 12 month fixed term contract basis. There is a possibility that that this role may become permanent. The position will be predominantly based in Burnley but travel to other locations in the UK and Europe will be required.
The Role
The HSE Advisor will be responsible for supporting the EMEAA HSE Manager in developing, implementing, and overseeing health, safety, and environmental initiatives across the EMEAA region. Based primarily at the Burnley facility the role will also monitor HSE compliance at the Burnley facility and provided day-to-day support and guidance to Burnley function leaders.
NEBOSH General Certificate in OHS - Essential.
Key Responsibilities
To support the EMEAA HSE Manager with the development and implementation of the regional HSE strategy and day-to-day HSE legal compliance for the Burnley facility.
Support operational leaders in the investigation of accidents, incidents, and near misses, ensuring thorough root cause analysis.
Review and monitor corrective and preventive actions to ensure they remain sustainable.
Support with analysis of accident and incident statistics identifying trends and developing improvement plans.
Support the EMEAA HSE Manager with preparing and presenting regular reports on HSE performance to senior management and support the goal of continuous improvement in HSE processes and systems.
Key Requirements
Experience of working with an EHS Management System in accordance with ISO 9001, 45001 & 14001
Membership of IOSH at Technical level.
Sound working knowledge of UK HSE legislation.
Intelligent thinker, focused and priority driven.
Strong motivation to achieve, well ordered and structured approach.
Excellent personal negotiation skills with the ability to interact with peers and Leaders.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills both internal and external to CRC Evans.
Experience with Microsoft Office Packages.
Ability to work alone or as a team member.
Experienced in safety assessment governance, challenge and review and regulator liaison.
