The Role
As a Design Configuration Engineer, you will be instrumental in managing the design configuration of a Floating Nuclear Power Plant. Working in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary engineering environment, you will help ensure that evolving technical requirements are translated into robust, well-managed design packages. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of clean, reliable, zero-emission power solutions on a global scale.
Key Responsibilities
Manage all configuration aspects of design packages for the Floating Nuclear Power Plant
Maintain design registers including Open Items, Non-Conformances, Interface Sheets, and Design Changes
Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders (designers, regulators, classification societies)
Author Design Review Reports and support Gate Review processes
Collaborate with the Principal Marine Engineer and Naval Architect on platform integration
Ensure compliance with configuration control procedures and documentation standards
Key Requirements
Degree-qualified in Engineering (BEng or equivalent)
Experience in the nuclear and/or marine sectors
Experience working in multi-disciplinary design teams and managing technical documentation
Proficient in using Electronic Document Management Systems
Comfortable with CAD software (SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD preferred)
Strong organisational and project coordination skills
Ability to clearly and concisely communicate technical information
