Our Client is a leading international clean energy organisation and part of a global energy group, with a significant presence across the UK energy sector. The organisation is involved in major nuclear and renewable energy projects, supporting the UK’s transition towards a low-carbon energy future.


The Role

The HR & Mobility Manager will support the organisation’s people management activities, with a particular focus on UK HR operations and expatriate mobility. The role will take ownership of HR activities for UK employees, including employee lifecycle, payroll and benefits, while coordinating expatriate visa and assignment-related activities.

The HR & Mobility Manager will also provide expert HR advice and support across the organisation, working closely with internal stakeholders and external immigration partners to ensure accurate employee information, effective HR processes and compliance.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full UK employee lifecycle, including starters, leavers and employee documentation.

  • Take responsibility for UK payroll activities and employee benefits administration.

  • Coordinate expatriate mobility activities, including visa applications, passport management and assignment changes.

  • Liaise with external immigration consultants and ensure right-to-work checks are completed.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date visa and expatriate documentation.

  • Manage and administer benefits for UK employees and expatriates.

  • Maintain and develop HR policies and procedures.

  • Provide guidance to managers on HR policies, procedures and employee relations matters.

  • Ensure compliance with current UK employment legislation.

  • Support learning and development activities, including identifying training needs and annual training plans.

  • Coordinate and support recruitment activities for permanent and contractor roles.

  • Manage employee records, personnel files, contracts, assignment letters and secondment documentation.

  • Manage attendance and absence tracking.

  • Support wider HR administration and departmental activities.


Key Requirements

Skills & Experience 

  • Experience in a broad HR generalist role.

  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.

  • Experience with UK payroll and employee benefits.

  • Experience managing the full employee lifecycle.

  • Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.

  • Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a wider team.

  • Experience with expatriate mobility, visas or immigration processes would be advantageous.

  • CIPD qualification/membership desirable.

  • Previous experience within a joint venture environment desirable.
