Our Client is a leading global expert in the provision of welding and coating services and operates in several jurisdictions around the world.
The Role
The Head of Business IT and PMO will own, run and improve the business applications landscape so it supports simple, efficient, standard ways of working. Keep ERP as the anchor, make systems work together with end-to-end process and data integrity, and lead the team that delivers both support and change. Plan and deliver releases, manage vendors and SLAs, and remove workarounds to raise business performance across all regions and functions.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and mentor the Business IT & Projects team.
Own the business applications estate with ERP at the core.
Ensure stable operations and effective application support.
Plan and run the change portfolio across functions and regions.
Prioritise demand with business owners.
Run governance with ALIGN: prepare cases, track approvals and report portfolio status.
Control portfolio spend: track benefits and budget and recommend funding decisions to ALIGN.
Improve processes, remove workarounds.
Maintain end to end process and data integrity across systems.
Apply stage gates; confirm security, data, and support readiness.
Report to SteerCo: status, risks, mitigations, and benefits realisation.
Manage vendors, contracts, performance, and SLAs.
Oversee testing, release, cutover, and handover to Ops.
Produce clear documentation for users and support teams.
Drive change, communication, training, and adoption
Key Requirements
Skills & Experience
Education Required:
Degree in business, information systems, engineering or similar
Or equivalent experience leading business applications at enterprise scale
ITIL Foundation, PRINCE2 or PMP, Prosci or similar change certification (desirable)
Work Experience Required:
Team leadership
Leadership of a business applications portfolio with ERP at the core
Ownership of application support, releases, vendors and SLAs
Running an IT change portfolio with clear gates, RAID and benefits tracking
Working with Finance, HR, Supply Chain, Projects across multiple regions
Establishing BRM style “go to” coverage and partnering with business owners
Change management
Managing systems integration and data integrity across applications
Preparing cases and reporting into governance forums such as ALIGN and SteerCo
Skills and Knowledge Required

Portfolio planning, prioritisation and financial tracking
Service management and incident/problem change practices
Data and integration basics: how processes, data and APIs fit across systems
