Our client is a leading global expert in the provision of welding and coating services and operates in several jurisdictions around the world. With private equity backing and strong growth ambitions, they are evolving their strategy and market focus to play a leading role in the energy transition.
The Role
Having hired a Group Tax Director in 2025, they are now seeking a motivated Group Tax Manager to join their dynamic Finance team.
This is a value-adding role, working closely with the Group Tax Director to deliver exceptional tax services to their stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Managing all aspects of corporate tax filings for the Group globally, including managing relationships within the finance team and with external advisers.
Preparation of the tax provision and associated disclosures for inclusion in the Group’s consolidated and individual statutory financial statements
Assisting the Group Tax Director with developing and maintaining transfer pricing documentation and policies in line with OECD guidelines.
Supporting tax audits in the UK and overseas.
Providing stewardship advice to the Group in respect of VAT and employment tax filings.
Assisting the Group Tax Director with tax process improvements for direct and indirect tax activities
Supporting the Group Tax Director with ad-hoc tax projects such as new country entry and future M&A activities.
Key Requirements
Skills & Experience
Job Specific Education Required:
Qualified Accountant or Tax Adviser (newly qualified)
Work Experience Required:
Broad experience of UK tax and tax accounting
International tax experience is beneficial but not essential
Skills and Knowledge Required:
Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills with an ability to communicate Tax matters to the right people, with the right information, in the right way, at the right time
Highly self-motivated, self-directed, with strong attention to detail
Excellent organisational and time management skills
A mindset of continuous improvement and an ability to develop talent for self and others
Occasional travel for business meetings
