Description
Our client is a leading player in the global nuclear energy sector. As part of a major infrastructure project in the UK, they are seeking an experienced Document Controller to join their Project Management Office. This is a key support role ensuring efficient document control, compliance with quality standards, and collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders.
The Role
This role supports the Project Control team in managing and maintaining all documentation associated with the project. The successful candidate will work closely with engineering teams, contractors, partners, and regulatory bodies to ensure documentation integrity, version control, and access across a secure EDMS platform.
In addition to document control responsibilities, the role includes executive assistance duties such as travel coordination, meeting organization, and workshop logistics.
Key Responsibilities
Administer the Electronic Document Management System (EDMS) and support its configuration based on project needs
Maintain documentation quality, metadata, and compliance with document control procedures
Contribute to continuous improvement of documentation processes and tools
Train and support project users on EDMS systems
Coordinate regular updates with project teams to ensure accuracy of records and data
Facilitate document-related reporting and performance indicators
Interface with a variety of internal stakeholders and external contractors, suppliers, and clients
Support general project team functions, including travel arrangements, workshop planning, and visitor coordination
Key Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
Experience in document control within a project or engineering environment
Experience assisting project teams with administrative support
Strong organizational and communication skills, with a collaborative mindset
Familiarity with EDMS systems; experience with Documentum is highly desirable
Must be detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of managing multiple stakeholders independently
Willingness to travel occasionally to France and Germany for training or project coordination
