Description
Our Client is a leading global expert in the provision of welding and coating services and operates in several jurisdictions around the world.
The Role
The position involves supervision over general accounting, taxes, property accounting, external auditing, and budgetary controls.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare Financial Statements in local GAAP and IFRS, including interim and final financial statements with supporting schedules.
Assist and cooperate with the implementation of IFS system and maintenance of Alterdata system from Finance standpoint.
Key person in terms of accounting practices and corporate accounting rules & policies.
Assisting Finance Manager in all necessary demands of the department.
Assist with external auditors periodically as well as any other consulting firms when necessary.
Assist on preparation of the annual budget as well as on the monitoring of budget x actual.
Fixed Assets and Inventory controls and registrations.
Maintains the company's system of accounts and keeps books and records on all company transactions and assets.
Control and preparation of GL entries including prepaid, accruals, allocations, etc.
Provide detailed analysis of GL entries on costs and revenue.
Work on the monthly, quarterly and yearly end closing diligently according to the corporate deadlines .
Reconciliates, coordinates and preparation of associated balance sheet notes.
Overview tax compliance, including tax returns and VAT.
Assist project teams on the evaluation of margins of proper revenue and costs recognition following IFRS rules.
Cash flow forecast assistance as well as coordinate AP/AR routines.
Any other finance related tasks and duties that might be needed.
Key Requirements
Skills & Experience
Job Specific Education Required:
Bachelors degree preferred in Accounting, Finance, Law, or related field.
Work Experience Required:
Experience in an accounting firm, major law firm, and in industry, preferably an Oil and Gas corporation.
Knowledge of tax obligations.
Knowledge of IFRS and CPCs.
CRC registration (CPA)
Experience with direct and indirect taxes for services companies.
Skills & Knowledge Required:
Strong communication skills and ability to articulate complex accounting and tax requirements both in Portuguese and in English.
Ability to understand and work with ERP systems preferably SAP, Mastersaf or PW SATI.
Intermediary/advanced English language level.

HR, SCM, Commercial, Operations and any other department where Finance input are needed.
External Communications (who, how):
Auditors and Consultants.
