Senior Tax Analyst

Are you a recently qualified tax accountant with circa 1-2yrs post qualification experience in corporate tax and/or tax reporting? Or have you been doing a similar role in-house and now looking for a new and exciting challenge? If so we would be keen to speak with you! Our client based in the South East / Reading area, are looking to hire a Senior Tax Analyst to sit within their established UK tax team which provides corporate tax and external reporting expertise across their UK group of companies (for both local (IFRS) and US (US GAAP) reporting)

You would report to the UK senior tax manager and have responsibility, amongst others, for the preparation of the corporation tax computations & returns for the UK group subsidiaries. In addition to this you would be involved in tax advisory projects (Acquisitions, disposals, VAT, customs and payroll taxes).

Working closely with colleagues from finance, external auditors, tax authorities and other key internal stakeholders you will be part of a team of tax and accounting subject matter experts. This is a hi-visibility position which will give you the opportunity to present to boards of directors and senior management across the organization, therefore strong communication skills are required.


  • Accountancy/tax qualification (ACA, ACCA, CTA) and relevant experience gained in a professional services firm (ideally 1-2yrs PQE)
  • Strong UK direct tax technical knowledge essential
  • Tax accounting experience (IFRS) preferred
  • Alphatax knowledge preferred but not essential
  • Ability to communicate complex issues to non-tax professionals and to make recommendations
  • Team player and the ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines
