Simpson Booth are supporting our Client, a leading, global pharmaceutical pricing and market access Consultancy firm, with the recruitment of a Director for their pricing and market access web platforms. With Headquarters in central London, and a rapidly growing presence across Asia and Europe, our Client cultivate a culture of forward-thinking innovation to their bespoke consultancy services, data analytics and business intelligence solutions for their worldwide pharmaceutical and biotech clients.

As Director, you will have overall responsibility for the strategic development and maintenance of our Client's cutting edge, bespoke web-based platform, which leverages state-of-the-art technology and analytical thinking to support drug-launch strategy excellence and success. You will also work in a line-manager capacity and will be responsible for the developing and mentoring of an expanding, multi-skilled web platform team, as well as identifying and securing further revenue opportunities across the business.

Overview of Position:

  • The Director will have overall responsibility for the strategic development and maintenance of our Client's bespoke, cutting-edge pricing and market access web platform
  • The Director is responsible for the web platform roadmap, and ensuring that development and data contact priorities are set accordingly with projects delivered to schedule, surpassing quality and value expectations, bringing innovative Pricing and Market Access tools and solutions to our Client's customers
  • The Director is also responsible for identifying and securing further revenue opportunities and providing expert guidance and support for the sales and consultancy teams
  • The Director will lead, develop and motivate the web platform team to exceed client expectations, identifying and resolving any gaps in team capability through a combination of recruitment and team development

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Leading the development of our Client's Market Access Platform Strategy and establishing how to evolve this to ensure continual future growth of the company and its assets
  • Line management of a growing product development team, nurturing new talent and developing a creative, motivated and effective team
  • Recruitment, development and retention of a talented product development team, consisting of Project Managers, Developers, Data Analysts and Quality Analysts
  • Ensuring customer satisfaction and successful subscription renewals for clients
  • Identifying innovative opportunities to develop our service offerings, defining product requirements and ensuring that subsequent releases offer value to clients
  • Working with sales team, existing partners and the wider teams to identify and secure opportunities for growing profitable revenue
  • Keeping informed of competitor activity, market trends and regulatory changes and ensuring that our Client's platform development pre-empts the changes or responds in an appropriate timeframe
  • Onboarding and training new clients and ensuring customer service and responsiveness exceeds pre-defined SLA's

Knowledge and experience Required:

  • Extensive knowledge and experience of the pharmaceutical pricing and market access sector and with it the knowledge of value that up to date information can provide to all sector participants
  • Strong background in International Pricing and Market Access
  • Technically astute and aware of the benefits that new and innovative technology can bring to a range of Healthcare clients
  • Experience in a Healthcare Consultancy capacity in overseeing the delivery of projects to an excellent standard
  • Highly fluent in written and spoken English
  • Coaching and mentoring experience would be highly preferred
  • Excellent PowerPoint and Excel skills, able to present information in compelling and creative ways
