Simpson Booth's client, a multinational professional services firm, is looking for an accomplished for an accomplished Product Manager to join the Innovation, Technology & Transformation (ITT) team in our People Advisory Services (PAS) business.

The Product Manager will be responsible for guiding, developing and maintaining a new generation of company technology assets are services for the ITT business. The role is highly collaborative with client facing, working closely as part of the design function and development teams.

The Innovation team has strong links with other advanced technology and innovation teams in company both in the UK and worldwide and offers excellent career potential in joining a rapidly growing team.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate with the business to support new product developments and existing product enhancements
  • Develop and maintain road maps across a number of products, liaising with business teams and clients as appropriate
  • Analyse business needs, align to the product road map strategy, planning and prioritisation
  • Represent the business vision, research offerings in the market, prepare comparative analysis and present recommendations
  • Support key decision making processes on product retirement, expansion and adoption
  • Go-to-person for information on product releases, features, risks, fixes, testing and implementation
  • Help users troubleshoot issues, provide actionable resolution
  • Track and manage issue logs, fixes, version control, support and maintenance
  • Proactively identify opportunities for improvement and optimisation in product functionality
  • Train other ITT team members in Product Management best practice
  • Work with other technology teams to align and implement appropriate product maintenance procedures, in accordance with business security and risk
  • Collaborate with the product development teams (designers, business analysts, product owners, developers and quality assurance) to ensure timely completion of development to specifications
  • Communicating product updates to key stake holders and decision makers


Skills and attributes for success

  • Knowledgeable about the end-to-end product life-cycle
  • Ability to build strong relationships at all levels with all personality types
  • Ability to anticipate problems before they occur, define the risk, identify solutions
  • Knowledge of licensing models, product pricing, utilisation analysis and financials
  • Pragmatic approach to quality with flexibility in approach, willingness to adapt quickly and initiative when working in unstructured environments with limited supervision
  • High level of drive and commitment to delivering high quality work
  • Structured approach to problem solving
  • The ability to work and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of software developers,data scientists, data engineers and subject-matter professionals from ITT and wider PAS


To qualify for the role you must have


We expect our teams to be agile in the technology they use, therefore, we are not prescriptive about the technologies you have experience using, as long you as you are eager to use the best available technology for the project and open to working with new tools and approaches.

  • 5 years + experience in a technology product management role
  • Experience in end to end product life-cycle
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication
  • Understanding of infrastructure, such as servers, hosting, cloud platforms and licensing
  • Flexibility to adjust to multiple demands, shifting priorities and ambiguity
  • Ability to work well under pressure and work decisively
  • Excellent decision making capability
  • Experience working in an Agile development process
  • Experience coaching junior staff


Ideally, you'll also have

  • Experience of a similar role in a comparable firm is preferred
  • Experience of people-related consultancy
  • Strong technology background and interest
