Our Client is a major, global manufacturing and engineering organisation and a world leader in industrial and engineered insulation solutions for a plethora of various industries ranging from the Oil and Gas sector, to the Automotive sector, and beyond.

Our Client are now looking to hire an Autonomous and Professional Maintenance Coordinator for their Corporate World Class Manufacturing Team.

You will be the key focal point in establishing the company's maintenance vision in accordance to Autonomous and Professional Maintenance, and you will play a crucial role in developing and driving a world class manufacturing mindset across this global, rapidly-growing organisation.

You will predominantly be based near one of our Client's manufacturing plants in Spain, UK, Poland or Germany, and this role will involve up to 50% global travel as you define the company's maintenance tools and methods, and establish best practices to apply worldwide. Role and responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to the following:

  • Establishing the company's maintenance vision, leading all aspects of the company's tools and methods as well as defining Autonomous Maintenance and World Class Manufacturing standards and best practice for the application worldwide
  • Developing, defining and establishing the pillars Autonomous, Professional Maintenance in accordance with the World Class Manufacturing (WCM) concept and the corporate definitions in the plants worldwide.
  • Developing and implementing the Masterplan, Routemaps as well as the Evaluation Guide
  • Implementing standardised methods and tools in the field of Autonomous and Professional Maintenance
  • Ensuring continuous and best practice of these in the plants worldwide.
  • Ensuring that measures for the prevention of technical problems due to maintenance are carried out.
  • Monitoring and improving World Class Manufacturing ideals for Autonomous and Professional Maintenance with the help of internal and external benchmarking and assigning consultant support when needed.
  • Provide support and calendar healthcheck session on sites on ww level to evaluate the progress and agree corrective actions focus on the relevant pillars.
  • Developing a standard training package, ensuring application of this in the plants worldwide, monitoring results of this and continuous deployment.
  • Managing Kaizen events, including incitation, conception and planning, for WCM Autonomous & Professional Maintenance and conducting courses at shopfloor level in the plants worldwide.
  • Ensuring implementation and application of the following in the plants worldwide: Spare parts and lube management, technical documentation management, machine classification, machine ledger management
  • Ensuring the implementation and the right practical application in the sites worldwide of 7 Steps of Autonomous and Professional Maintenance
  • Support the correct use of problem solving technique and have an active role in the Focus Improvement development pillar.

Knowledge and Experience Required

  • Knowledge and experience of establishing and implementing tools and standards in accordance to Autonomous Maintenance in a process / manufacturing / engineering capacity is absolutely crucial
  • Extensive, proven knowledge and experience of World Class Manufacturing (WCM) is essential
  • Willingness to embark on up to 50% of international travel to global manufacturing plants, ensuring the implementation of the Steps of Autonomous and Professional Maintenance worldwide
  • Skilled in implementing standardised methods and tools across the Autonomous and Professional Maintenance arena
  • Experience of leading and applying the 8 pillars of TPM across a process/manufacturing industry would be preferred
  • Knowledge and experience of developing and implementing training packages (both from a technical and a mindset capacity)
  • Experience in implementing tools and standards in accordance to Focus Improvement and Autonomous and Professional Maintenance
  • Confidence in representing a key focal point for ensuring continuous improvement and best practices in international manufacturing plants and offices worldwide
  • Compelling qualities in driving change and mentoring teams both on a factory floor and office level
  • Excellent motivational, mentoring and coaching skills
  • Strong communication and presentation abilities
  • Industrial or engineering sector background would be preferred
  • Degree qualified in Business Administration or Engineering (ideally Masters degree qualified)
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Team player who is Gemba orientated
  • Strong written and spoken English skills
  • Result and success orientated with the ability to motivate and coach staff to adopt the same orientation
