Our client is a full integrated Property Developer who are looking for a Real State Tax Manager to join their team in central London.

The role of Tax Manager will support the UK and Group tax teams with day-to-day and transactional tax related work and will report into the head of Tax within the UK.

The Attributes:

  • Tax background with relevant work experience preferably in Tax Advisory within tax / legal international advisory firm or in-house position
  • Sound understanding of international tax law and treaty tax law proven in business practice
  • Practical knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP / IFRS)
  • Responsible and creative person
  • Analytical thinking, strong organisational skills
  • Ability to see wider context of assigned responsibility
  • Hands on approach
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other areas of the business
  • Assertive, pro-active and results driven individual who can demonstrate good business sense and judgment
  • Must be able to prioritise workload and conflicting demands
  • Experience with project management and practical ability to lead smaller tax projects under the supervision of the Tax Manager

The Duties:

  • Support with the management of the income tax responsibilities with a main focus on UK as well as other EU countries
  • Tax support during the transaction process (e.g. investment, divestment, business restructuring etc.)
  • Set up of tax feasible structures and its further optimisation and administration
  • Cooperation with and coordination of external service providers in fields of tax matters and audit
  • Tax support for the accounting department, legal department, acquisition department, leasing and asset management department (i.e. providing tax recommendations to the internal client applying understanding of the business, technical knowledge and research)
  • Tax compliance
  • Identification of tax risks
  • Set-up and implementation of new tax-related procedures and guidelines
