The role involves the project management of engineered systems development initiatives in order to prove performance of new and existing products and systems. Furthermore the role will support product management activities' for the company's product range. The role will also:

  • Establish and maintain a comprehensive global product and systems management responsibility within the company.
  • Manage certification and approvals for global and local products and plants, manage the related testing budget and ensure all relevant databases are properly maintained.
  • To manage quality reporting and monitor improvement processes in all production units currently supplying AES and coordinate approval process for new plants/suppliers.
  • To act as an interface between key internal departments and to ensure technical and quality compliance targets are consistently achieved. To provide a technical support service to the department and wider organisation.

Outline of main tasks:

  • The Product Manager is responsible for the following tasks:
  • Project Management – Systems Development
  • Product and Systems Management
  • Quality Management
  • Testing and Certification
  • Client / Project specifications

Person Specification:

  • Professional Education – Graduated with engineering or chemistry degree, preferably with a background in material science or chemical/polymer engineering.
  • Experience – A minimum of 4 years work experience – Preferably in the insulation industry.

Other skills/knowledge:

  • Good understanding of technical matters.
  • Ability of getting involved in product/system testing.
  • Laboratory experience.
  • Experience in marketing and product management.
  • Strong project management skills and experience.
  • Excellent conceptual and analytical aptitude and with an eye for practical solutions.
  • Ability to embrace new info quickly & adapt working methods to align with business needs.
  • Highly motivated & able to work with a varied group of people spread throughout the world to deliver outcomes.
