My Client are a leading construction, engineering and oil and gas service company, operating across the worldwide arena. They are urgently seeking an enthusiastic and approachable Junior HR Advisor in a contract position, to be based at their office in South London.

This contract position has an initial duration of 6 months, however there is the potential likelihood of extension beyond this. You will be responsible for supporting the HR Business Partner in generalist HR activities, and specifically on implementing and delivering training modules to senior management and across the organisation. Ideally, you will be HR qualified and will be able to start immediately as this is an URGENT requirement.

Role and responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to the following:

  • Supporting and assisting the HR Business Partner with the delivery of a new training module for the senior management team
  • Providing advice and support to the HR Business Partner in Finance, HR and Facilities functions
  • Supporting the current HR Business Partner with day to day client group queries
  • Providing advice and guidance on the application of HR policies and procedures, for example supporting disciplinary, grievance and absence processes, ensuring that procedures are followed
  • Assisting and supporting with research and information collation
  • Assist in the delivery of an efficient, timely and accurate HR service to managers and employees within the assigned client groups
  • Co-ordinate the day-to-day aspects of recruitment and selection process in alignment with budgets for the assigned client groups
  • Assist the HR Business Partner with the implementation and development of reward activities and projects within the company's Global Project Centre
  • Coordinate HR processes in conjunction with local HR Employee Services, payroll and other tasks, with a focus on accuracy and efficiency
  • Participate in the implementation of any global HR initiatives such as Compensation and Benefits, Staffing, HR Policy and Process developments as applicable
  • Undertake any other ad hoc projects as required by the business and directed by the HR Business Partner and/ or HR Director

Knowledge and experience required

  • Knowledge and experience of providing HR advice to management and employees
  • Experience of implementing, preparing and delivering training modules is highly desirable
  • Comprehensive understanding of Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) particularly SAP
  • HR Qualified individuals are preferred
  • Fluency in spoken and written English is essential
  • Fluency in French is desirable
  • Experience of effectively dealing with a variety of personnel related issues
  • Pro-active in approach and highly visible to key business stakeholders
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills
  • The ability to demonstrate an adaptable approach and collaboration
  • Proven ability to multitask and ensure effective delivery of priorities to meet operational demands
  • Ability to produce work of a presentable standard which is accurate and with an emphasis on attention to detail
  • Proven organisational skills
