Description:

Oversees the daily workings of the client's operations including but not limited to general business planning, managing team and business resources, oversee work delivery and ensure deadlines are met. Maintain a high quality of work and consider improvements where possible. The position reports to the Owner CEO and is designed to support that role in the general running of the business.


Operations Manager Job Duties

  • Manages the growth, development and success of the team
  • Coordinates activities that affect operational decisions and business requirements
  • Responsible for the production, procurement, and planning of daily operations
  • Communicates with all relevant employees to ensure delivery times are met
  • Plans, schedules, and reviews workload and manpower to make sure targets are being met on a cost-effective basis
  • Ensures the production team has enough time to develop and deliver products based on contracted specification and request
  • Creates work schedules based on strict deadlines
  • Communicates any changes in the order or delivery date to relevant parties
  • Ensures the working environment is suitable and the team has access to the equipment/resources they need
  • Purchases materials and services required for production
  • Confirms that health and safety regulations are followed and maintained
  • Provides guidance to employees


Skills and Qualifications

  • Prior Pharmaceutical industry experience desired particularly in a consulting environment.
  • Highly organised - production and planning skills required
  • Demonstrable understanding and experience of general business processes such as finance, HR, leadership, time management, marketing, materials and office management, etc
  • Advanced communication skills, written, verbal, presentation
  • Experience in negotiating and working with suppliers
  • Ability to stimulate a team environment and have the ability to engage and motivate others
  • Have strong problem solving skills and drive to achieve results
  • Possess a relevant Degree
