Our Client are looking for a Pharmaceutical Pricing and Market Access Consultant, within their central London office. The company are renowend for their market leading, innovative solutions to the global pharmaceutical and life science pricing and market access industry. This is a hybrid role, with the combined responsiblities of representing and supporting the company from a pricing perspective, and also supporting and leading the delivery of key worldwide projects.

The position would suit an individual with consulting experience, and expertise in market access and pricing from a pharmaceutical, biotechnology or life science perspective. This is a major, key role for the business, and will involve entrepreneurship, focus, and the opportunitiy to make a measurable difference in the life sciences industry.

Roles and responsibilities will include but may not be limited to the following:

  • Focal point and subject matter expert in operational pricing for pharmaceuticals / biotechnology products with a global remit
  • Representing and supporting the company from pricing perspective
  • Support pricing related strategic management initiatives in international markets
  • Assit, support and lead the implementation and delivery of key projects
  • Identify IRP and cross border risk and advise on pricing strategies
  • Supporting and leading the team of analysts with overall responsibility for the quality of end deliverables
  • Maintain, update or develop internal materials needed for daily activities
  • Manage ad hoc services and consultancy projects
  • Leading in proposal development
  • Attendance of key medical and commercial conferences
  • Performing qualitative (scientific, clinical, commercial) and quantitative analyses
  • Developing recommendations and exercising informed business judgment to address client issues
  • Delivering best-in-class customer service to keep clients informed of major events and implications related to their businesses
  • Contributing to the preparation, execution and follow up of client workshops/training
  • Taking responsibility for creating client-ready reports, presentations and other client deliverables
  • Building professional relationships with members of the client team
  • Proactively developing knowledge of the healthcare industry and consulting methodologies
  • Contributing to recruitment and expansion of team
  • Business development

Knowledge and Experience Required:

  • Must have 2-5 years relevant experience pricing and market access gained from working within the pharmaceutical and/or biotechnology industry or in consultancy
  • International reference pricing experience is essential
  • Knowledge and experience of pricing mechanisms is essential
  • Consulting experience is ideal, strong consulting background is preferred
  • An advanced degree (MSc, MPharm, MBA, PhD) in a life sciences related field or an undergraduate degree in life sciences with previous commercial experience in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical/biotech pricing and access
  • In-depth understanding of a medicine's life-cycle including the development, regulatory and commercial aspects of global markets
  • Understanding of different healthcare settings and Pricing and reimbursement of medicines in major EU markets
  • Good commercial awareness to include understanding of sales and marketing tactics in the pharmaceutical industry
