Simpson Booth are looking for a Revenue Finance Accountant on behalf of our E & P operator client based in central Uxbridge, London.

As a part of the Revenue Team, this role is responsible for preparation of recording of monthly production and sales data, calculation of the closing inventory position and the preparation of cargo invoices. The role will also encompass preparation of UK Financial Statements for smaller entities. The successful candidate will have strong attention to detail, planning and system skills to enable them to deliver a high quality output and meet tight deadlines. The role provides valuable exposure to all UK assets and provides an opportunity to work with different stakeholders within the measurements and allocations, marketing and finance teams. The role also provides the opportunity to demonstrate initiative in identifying and implementing process improvements.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Work with allocations and measurements team to provide accurate volumes measurements for production.
  • Load production and sales volumes figures to SAP on a monthly basis.
  • Prepare monthly Gas and NGL sales accruals
  • Prepare accurate inventory closing position checks for Oil, Gas and NGL, ensuring all material movements are analysed and explained.
  • Prepare re-charge invoices for sales relating to other entities within the group.
  • Prepare schedule of volumes of cargoes lifted in month.
  • Working with the Commercial Manager ensure all invoices are reviewed and approved in accordance with internal controls
  • Update FPS and Flotta hydrocarbon accounts reconciliation files.
  • Maintaining SOX documentation and ensuring compliance with internal controls. Maintain relationships with both internal and external audit in support of this.
  • Process purchase and cargo related fee invoices in SAP workflow.
  • Work with the marketing team to proactively manage lifting allocation between fields.
  • Responsible for preparation of Financial Statements for smaller UK entities.
  • Prepare Board papers for Legal entities assigned to this role working proactively with stakeholders including Tax, Legal and Treasury.
  • Prepare Legal entity statements assigned to this role and proactively engage with stakeholders in this process.
  • Prepare entries & analysis for budgeting & Outlook process and entries for Legal Entities.
  • Prepare account reconciliations and analysis assigned to the role to ensure accuracy and proactively bring any irregularities to resolution.
  • Actively manage debtors accounts assign to this role including communicating status and chasing payments.
  • Prepare the Bi-annual working capital analysis for accounts assigned to this role.
  • Other entries, analysis and reconciliations assigned to this role.
  • Provide PRT data to the tax department
  • Support the planning and economics team with the provision of production data and analysis.

Qualifications and experience:

  • Past experience working for an E&P company
  • Professionally qualified Accountant
  • SAP and BI experience preferential
