Principal responsibilities:

We have a very exciting opportunity for a commercially minded senior pricing and access consultant who MUST have a demonstrable background in managing and delivering strategic price and access consulting engagements in the pharmaceutical industry. The role includes providing insights and recommendations focused on critical pricing issues for our clients and involves supporting proposal development, business development and delivering high quality research and analysis. This role will suit an entrepreneur who is passionate about the pharma sector and has the ambition and drive to join what is a very progressive and innovative company who are making real inroads into the sector. This position is an opportunity to build onto an established business and create growth in an area you will be expected to shape and develop. General Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Leading and expanding the project team of analysts with overall responsibility for the quality of end deliverables
  • Produce quality client proposals and with minimal supervision, maintain client satisfaction through proactive client interaction and engagement
  • Lead business development and the delivery of proposals to clients
  • Identify potential opportunities for further business development activity through projects
  • Attendance at key medical and commercial conferences
  • Contributing to the preparation, execution and follow up of client workshops/training
  • Taking responsibility for creating client-ready reports, presentations and other client deliverables
  • Build subject matter expertise to apply during client engagements and thought leadership initiatives
  • Demonstrate commitment to personal and professional development through training and/or unstructured sessions, as well as mentoring junior staff to assist in their growth
  • Contribute to the social environment by executing assigned firm-building activities and assisting with recruiting top talent
  • Contribute to firm-building and intellectual property development activities

Skills and Specifications:

  • MUST have relevant experience gained from working within the pharmaceutical and/or biotechnology industry or in consultancy
  • An advanced degree (MSc, MPharm, MBA, PhD) in a life sciences related field or an undergraduate degree in life sciences with previous commercial experience in the pharmaceutical industry
  • MUST have a deep knowledge of pharmaceutical/biotech pricing and access including international reference pricing experience essential
  • Excellent written and verbal English
  • In-depth understanding of a medicine's life-cycle including the development, regulatory and commercial aspects of global markets
  • Understanding of different healthcare settings and Pricing and reimbursement of medicines in major EU markets
  • Ability to formulate proposals and deliver engagements in PowerPoint format
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Deep knowledge of P&MA, at a minimum of EU5 + top ex-EU markets, including P&R processes, latest developments and future outlook
  • Sound understanding of, and exposure to, broader commercial issues faced by the pharma industry
  • Experience in global pricing and market access and/or global market and product opportunity assessment is essential
  • Demonstrated analytical, interpretative and problem-solving skills
  • Proven ability to lead large and/or multiple projects, with multidisciplinary teams, whilst maintaining quality and meeting deadlines
  • Bachelor's degree in a life science, business or related field is required; master's/Ph.D. preferred
  • Strong written, verbal, analytical, organizational and project management skills
  • Proficiency across various consulting and research methodologies, including the execution of quantitative and qualitative primary research, secondary research, and analytic modelling and forecasting
  • Highly motivated with a strong work ethic
  • MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

Specific Job Related Requirements:

The position is based in London, NW1 Kings Cross area. However, candidates may be required to undertake short ad-hoc visits to client or project locations and a certain amount of international travel throughout our areas of operation due to the global nature of the role.
