Contract win and funding deal

Posted on September 04, 2015

Simpson Booth, a specialist recruitment business and HR consultancy dedicated to the energy sector, has secured a key contract and agreed a new funding package as it prepares for the next stage of its growth plans.

The firm has been awarded a contract by Aramco Overseas Company for recruitment and selection services supporting Rabigh Refining and Petrochemical Company in its activities in the Middle East.

The announcement coincides with the confirmation of a significant tranche of funding to facilitate Simpson Booth's ambitious expansion plans in the UK and overseas.

Managing Director Russell Stewart said: "We are delighted to confirm two important developments for the business as we look to the future.

The contract award supports our reputation in the marketplace as a quality provider of recruitment services in the energy sector."

The firm was founded three years ago by Russell Stewart and Nina El-Imad, who both have extensive experience in the international oil and gas industry and has since gained a number of accreditations for its services. This includes an ISO9001:2008 accreditation for its executive search and outsourcing solutions, which was awarded in 2014 and an Investors in People accreditation which was gained in the previous year.

Despite the current challenges in the industry, Simpson Booth sees a number of opportunities to strengthen its capability and scale and will be using the recently secured funding to support this strategy.

Russell Stewart added: "The additional funding gives us the opportunity to expand our offering to meet the current needs of our clients in the industry. We will continue to work with companies on a partnership basis, tailoring our solutions to suit their businesses and helping them to achieve their strategic objectives around resourcing and HR services."
